Purolator is marking the 10th year of its “Tackle Hunger” program with a drive to deliver one million pounds of food to local food banks across Canada. Since 2003, the company and its partners, among them the Canadian Football League, have delivered more than 4.5 million pounds of food. Purolator is a member of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility.

San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies is offering four green-related professional certificate programs exclusively online. A new course focuses on water management and landscape sustainability. Also offered are programs in green building construction, green energy management, and residential and commercial sustainable practices.

The International Council on Mining and Metals has published a Spanish edition of its guidebook to help mining companies respect human rights while maintaining operational security.
