(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) NEW YORK CITY, NY - SEPTEMBER 21, 2011 - Recyclebank®, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals from local and national businesses, today announced that Chief Revenue Officer Samantha Skey will participate as a keynote speaker discussing the use of gaming techniques to market to moms at the SheStreams conference in New York City on September 23. The annual conference catapults women and brands into the future of social technology while examining the newest platforms and technologies that will connect them with other women and brands, female social media and the latest in social technologies.

With U.S. moms responsible for trillions of dollars in consumer spending, brands understand her purchasing power and influence, but today’s digital mom is more difficult to reach, engage and win over than ever before. Moms consume media on their own terms, and while there is no fiercer brand advocate, a marketing misstep to her spreads like wildfire. Consequently, the ability to integrate gaming techniques into brand marketing to moms authentically and keep them playing can be challenging. Drawing consumer behavior insights from real-world brand initiatives, in the session, “Hey Mom, Got Game?,” Skey will demystify the millennial mom consumer and deliver best practices on how to get her attention and her dollars through gaming techniques and digital media.

Beginning her digital career in 1994 by starting Interactive Imaginations’ award-winning Riddler, one of the web’s first real-time, multi-player, reward-based gaming sites, Skey works with Recyclebank brand partners such as AVEENO®, Coca-Cola® and Kashi to create marketing campaigns that engage and inspire consumers around sustainable action. Since joining the company in 2010, Skey has also played an essential role in guiding the expansion of Recyclebank’s digital platform and online rewards programs. Prior to Recyclebank, she has held various strategic digital development roles at Walt Disney Company, CNET, Alloy Inc. and Passenger Inc.
