Do the words Growth, Profit, and Expansion Mix with Sustainability?   A business sustainability framework offers a reshaping of the business lens.  The words growth, profit, and expansion do fit with sustainability- it's all in how you look at it.

Growth, from a traditional business mindset is the goal.  Bigger is better, more! On the contrary, the general consensus among those in the sustainability camp would possibly argue, growth is bad and counter to effective carbon and energy management.   However, as the pendulum swings from one side and then to the other, it rest in the middle.  And similar to the pendulum, as our world resets itself in the growth mindset, perhaps there is an equilibrium that allows for growth to have its place in a sustainable world.

Demonstrating leadership and offering insight to this very discussion is SAP's Rami Branitzky, SVP of Sustainability.  The question of aggressive business growth coupled with emissions reduction is an innovative proposition.  In this podcast we explore:
  • How SAP is leveraging quarterly reporting to increase visibility of emissions goals and maximize business agility in fluctuating business tides.

  • How SAP has realized approximately €185 million in cost avoidance

  • Why  2012 is a crucial year to determine if SAP will make its emissions goals.

Discover how SAP is leading in the business sustainability space.
