NEW YORK and LONDON, March 13, 2018 /3BL Media/ - The King Khalid Foundation (KKF) has opened the application process for the tenth annual Responsible Competitiveness (RC) Award. The 2018 application can be accessed through the official KKF website and will remain open until May 10th, 2018.

Launched in 2008  the RC Award is a multi-year initiative to assess, reward, and improve responsible business practices in Saudi businesses. The RC Award is the first and only award focused on responsible competitiveness and corporate responsibility in the Kingdom. The annual RC Award process culminates with the annual King Khalid RC Award Gala. Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, winning companies are honored for their excellence in sustainability performance.

The RC Award, driven by the King Khalid Foundation and supported by the global advisory and standards firm AccountAbility, is currently in its tenth consecutive year, and has, since its inception, attracted over 300 companies in the Kingdom. The Award and accompanying RC Index provide strong platforms to support sustainable transformation and create a lasting impact in the Kingdom.

Responsible Competitiveness is key to increasing the Kingdom’s competitiveness on a global level and is fully coherent with the Kingdom’s National Transformation Plan 2020 and the Vision 2030, and in line with international frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The RC Award covers themes including workforce development, equality and diversity; community investment strategies; quality, innovation and good governance; working with suppliers and environmental management, all of which have been carefully developed to fully align with the core priorities and commitments of the government’s Vision 2030 program.
