WASHINGTON, DC, April 1, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit with a vision for a safe and healthy home for every person, today announced that Alexis Glick, veteran media personality and former Wall Street executive, has joined the nonprofit's national board of directors. Glick, CEO of GENYOUth foundation, a national nonprofit partnered with the National Football League and the National Dairy Council, runs the largest in-school health and wellness program in the country reaching over 38M students in over 73K schools.

“As a mother who is passionate about family and community, I’m honored to be a part of an organization that gives hope to people in jeopardy of losing their homes, including many brave veterans who have served and protected this great country,” said Glick. "Rebuilding Together is a remarkable organization which enlists the skills and unique abilities of compassionate volunteers to help those who are less fortunate.”

Before moving to the public sector to take on the role of CEO at GENYOUth, Alexis Glick helped launch the FOX Business Network, the largest cable news network in history, where she served as Vice President of Business News and anchored "Money for Breakfast" and "The Opening Bell." Prior to FOX, Glick co-anchored NBC News’ Today Show.

Throughout her career in media, Glick interviewed some of the world’s most recognized leaders and newsmakers across politics, business and sports, including President Obama, Senator John McCain, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Warren Buffet.  She continues to be a frequent guest and contributor to many national television, digital and print networks, including CNN, NBC, and the Huffington Post and serves as a strategic advisor for a wide range of media and finance companies including board member of Cumulus Media, the second largest owner and operator of AM and FM radio stations in the United States. Prior to her experience in media, she was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley.

“Alexis will be a tremendous contributor to Rebuilding Together’s Board of Directors,” said Charley Shimanski, president and CEO of Rebuilding Together. “Her experience in the media and as a strategic advisor will benefit not only our organization, but more than 10,000 low-income homeowner families we serve through critical home repairs each year.”

Ms. Glick is a graduate of Columbia University and has previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Columbia College Alumni Association.
