Building a Better Business Case for Sustainability Investment Decisions
Sep 22, 2015 12:20 PM ET

St. Paul, Minn., September 22, 2015 /3BL Media/ - To help address the disconnect that can occur between proposed sustainability initiatives and final business decisions, Antea Group is pleased to announce a pre-conference training opportunity being offered as part of NAEM’s EHS Management Forum on October 13th in Charlotte, NC. The session, entitled Building a Better Business Case for Sustainability Investment Decisions, will be a hands-on, interactive workshop. Participants will learn to make more effective sustainability investment business cases, monetize the business value created through sustainability investments, and speak the language of decision-makers.

The workshop is presented in collaboration with the FEMSA Foundation who, together with Antea Group, is a founding partner of the Monetization Working Group. The curriculum stems from the collaborative efforts of this group’s global business and NGO leaders, who are developing tools and methodologies to help Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability practitioners and business leaders comprehensively evaluate sustainability initiatives, ensuring the most effective, efficient and sustainable decisions are made.

Through an eight-element framework, attendees will understand how to build more effective business case presentations. They will also be introduced to a concrete methodology that helps quantify intangible benefits. Through specific case examples, participants will learn practical processes of mapping investment business value creation opportunities, and how to quantify and monetize business benefits. This can lead to more effective communication with leadership, more resources flowing to sustainability projects, and increased accountability and transparency. The course will be facilitated by Shawn Bobick, Senior Consultant with Antea Group, and David Moreno of the FEMSA Foundation.

Attendees must be registered for the full conference to attend--just add the pre-conference session to your form during registration. Already registered? Complete the registration form again but only for the pre-conference and it will be added to your order. The session will take place from 1:00-4:00pm on Tuesday, October 13th and the cost is $129.

More details about the pre-conference session can be found on NAEM’s website at: http://ehsforum.naem.org/anteaprecon.php
