PHOENIX, July 12, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Employees from Arrow Electronics’ Phoenix integration center collected and donated 3,887 items of clothing and personal-care items last month for Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), a nonprofit organization established in 1984 to empower men, women and children with diverse needs to not only end their homelessness, but also rebuild their lives.

“Arrow is proud to be a part of the Phoenix community and employees here are always looking for ways to give back,” said Tara Smith, a senior Arrow manager who works at the Phoenix facility and helped to coordinate the drive. “I’m thrilled we were able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause in our community.”

Arrow’s donation included over 1,500 clothing items, nearly 2,500 toiletries and dozens of additional items like bedding and towels. Employees collected the items during the week of June 20.

CASS offers support and shelter services for nearly 7,000 men, women and children every year. The organization operates two shelter locations that house approximately 470 individuals and 36 families a night. CASS also offers comprehensive services around veterans support, employment, housing, dental health and hygiene; and child development and family services.
