Denver – In honor of Earth Day, Arrow Electronics’ Corporate Social Responsibility team organized a volunteer event with Denver Parks and Recreation near the company’s global headquarter campus. Arrow employees mulched around trees, removed debris and weeded, completing four days of work in one afternoon.

Employees who participated were also eligible to receive matching funds through the Arrow Charitable Dollars for Doers program for the Denver Mountain Parks Foundation, which works in partnership with Denver Parks and Recreation to ensure the continued stewardship and enjoyment of the city’s unique mountain park system.

“I am proud to work for a company that organizes community service events like this. Something meaningful happens when you serve alongside your team to give back,” said Ryan Herrmann, senior manager, global quality at Arrow.

Arrow is committed to making a positive contribution to the environment and the communities in which it operates. The company strives for energy efficiency in its offices, facilities and distribution centers and seeks to provide suppliers and customers with solutions designed to be inherently more sustainable. For three consecutive years, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has named Arrow a “Gold Leader” in its Environmental Leadership Program for environmental achievements that help keep Colorado a desirable place to live and work.
