Campaign: Sands Confidential

In March, Sands Bethlehem hosted the Bacardi Group and their team of 60 employees over two days with meetings and dinners. As part of their visit, they wanted to participate in a community service project as a team building event. Sands Cares is the company’s global corporate giving program, where we have pledged our responsibility to the communities where we operate by providing opportunities for Team Members, guests and clients to extend their reach to the community. Through Sands ECO360’s Green Meeting Concierge, Las Vegas Sands proudly offers several services including corporate social responsibility programs.

The Sales team at Sands Bethlehem presented the Bacardi Group with the idea of building hygiene kits for Clean the World. Since 2011, Las Vegas Sands has partnered with Clean the World and assembled 500,000 hygiene kits across the globe to promote its mission of good health and well-being, while also providing access to soap and other hygiene products. The group loved the idea and built 500 kits for veterans, women and children. The kits were donated to the Victory House, YWCA of Bethlehem and Donegan Elementary School.

“This group wanted to do a team building event while helping the community and the Clean the World Kits were a perfect fit!” Scott Lewis, Hotel Sales manager, said. “They were really excited with the impact the kits made for men, women and especially, children, and were so glad they could help out the people of the Lehigh Valley.”
