Monroeville, Pa, September 1, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Through its participation in CBS EcoMedia’s EducationAd program, auto dealer Biondi Motor Company is supporting a unique playground construction specially designed for students with complex special needs at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s (AIU) Sunrise School. The new playground, equipped with rubber fencing and soft surfaces, will promote play, physical development and social skills for 130 special needs students at the Pittsburgh-area school.

To celebrate the collaboration, AIU and Sunrise School administrators hosted a private tour and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Biondi Motor Company. Representatives from Biondi Motor Company also had the opportunity to engage with Sunrise students.

“Biondi Motor Company strongly supports local communities, and we are proud of our long-standing relationship with Sunrise School,” said Dan Biondi, President of Biondi Motor Company. “We are honored to be a part of a project that ensures the children of Sunrise School have a safe playground area in which to further develop social and motor skills, learn, grow and enjoy for years to come. We appreciate the support of our employees, and partners, including Lincoln Motor Company and KDKA, in helping Sunrise Schools’ dream of building a safe playground for their students become a reality.”

“We are just so thrilled and grateful for the support of the Biondi Motor Company, our school districts and the community. Our students have been without a playground for many years, and this effort will certainly enhance the quality of their school experience,” said Lucy McDonough, Principal of Sunrise School.

“Playgrounds are such an integral part of the childhood experience,” said Paul Polizzotto, President and Founder of CBS EcoMedia. “In addition to helping children develop physical strength, coordination, balance and other gross motor skills, playgrounds also provide a fun and safe space for interaction and socialization among students. Support from Biondi Motor Company will positively impact students at Sunrise School for years to come.”
