Computerworld again names Booz Allen’s Information Services organization to list of 100 Best Places to Work in IT

Each day, Booz Allen empowers people to change the world. Through energized and supportive work environments, professionals collaborate side by side to develop innovative solutions right at the center of their clients’ most important missions. Take the firm’s newest Digital hub in Charleston: this tech-forward, multipurpose space also serves as an R&D facility that allows employees to build, test and refine enterprise software solutions alongside the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Booz Allen has again been recognized by Computerworld as one of the “Best Places to Work in IT.” This year, the firm’s Information Services organization ranked #7 among large organizations.

The Information Services organization at Booz Allen continues to transform to adapt to the needs of their talented IT professionals. Eighty percent of employees report that they work a flexible schedule and telecommute regularly and the firm also recognizes that social, collaborative workspace is essential for the modern IT workforce. In many locations, Booz Allen has replaced small, enclosed cubicles in favor of open work/lounge areas filled with softscapes and clusters of uniquely styled workspaces. High-top tables overlook windows, and scattered booths provide places for quick “pocket” meetings or lunch with team members.  Firm leaders recognize that employees who are physically and emotionally comfortable while working are more collegial, more innovative, and more productive.

To determine the “Best Places to Work” rankings, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, asking them to report on company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training and retention.
