CAMPAIGN: GM Greener Vehicles

General Motors unveiled the newest member of its electric vehicle portfolio last week at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS): the 2014 Cadillac ELR. This luxury coupe couples GM’s industry-leading extended range electric vehicle technology with a sleek, progressive design that remains true to the Converj Concept on which it is based. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what the folks attending NAIAS had to say.

“Cadillac ELR was among our most favorite new cars of this year’s Detroit Motor Show…It proves mainstream green cars can be cool.”

Arman BarariMotorward

“There is little lost in the transition from the Cadillac Converj concept car to the Cadillac ELR production car under the auto-show lights. It’s a successful testimony to the efforts of GM’s design and engineering staffs.”

“The most compelling car to roll out of Caddy in a generation…It brings sexy sophistication and a dash of luxury to the extended-range EV segment.”

Damon LavrincWired Magazine

“It combines eco-friendly credentials with eye-catching design (and just enough flash).”

Donny NordlichtAutomobile Magazine

“Somehow the ELR manages to look even better than the concept…If it’s not the best-looking Cadillac we’ve ever seen, it’s certainly near the top of the list.”

Kurt ErnstGreen Car Reports

“The ELR offers plenty of art to go along with the science.”

Jeff SabatiniCar and Driver

ELR production begins in the US in late 2013 with sales starting in early 2014 in North America and expanding to global markets including China and Europe.
