We’re excited to announce that the week of our 4th Annual ICV Conference is finally here! Responsible Leadership: The Future of Corporate Engagement in Global Development is happening this Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The two-day interactive conference will bring together 150 professionals in the ICV sphere to discuss the growing relationship between pro bono practices and global leadership.

If you’ll be joining us in person, we can’t wait to see you! If you are unable to attend the ICV Conference this year, be sure to join the conversation via social media with #ICVLead2013 and by following @CDCDevSolutions on Twitter.

You can also follow the conversation on our Tweet Wall at http://icvlead2013.tweetwally.com!

You don’t want to miss out on the incredible knowledge and insight on international corporate volunteerism that will be shared over the next two days!

We have speakers from PepsiCo, John Deere, Intel, Merck, Pfizer, IBM, and much more!

On Thursday, April 11th at 9:15am EST, stay tuned for highlights on “Going Global With Pro Bono” from Chris Jarvis and Angela Parker, co-founders and partners @RealizedWorth. You can virtually join their dynamic multimedia discussion on how companies can engage their employees in pro bono work on a global scale!

Later on Thursday morning, we will reveal the results of CDS’ 4th Annual ICV Benchmarking Study. Look out for information from the study about the latest developments and best practices in international corporate volunteering.

Are you a corporate employee thinking about applying for your company’s ICV program? Or a corporation curious about how ICV programs could benefit your employees? Then tune in to our panel on “Today’s Corporate Volunteers, Tomorrow’s Leaders” at 1:30pm EST!  Amanda Bowman, Director of IBLF, will moderate a panel of volunteer alumni from SAP, Pfizer, FedEx, and Credit Suisse as they discuss how ICV made them stronger leaders.

Throughout the day on Thursday, watch out for updates from the conference Flashchats on Food Security, Health, and Water! Join a dialogue on how the private sector can address serious social issues through pro bono programs.

Friday, April 12th is equally full of exciting events! CDS will post updates from our morning ICV Bootcamp from 8:00am to 9:15am EST, a dynamic and interactive exercise that will take a close look at designing an ICV program.

Speaking of joining virtual conversations, you’ll definitely want to look for updates from our talk about CDS’ new online magazine, The New Global Citizen, from Amanda MacArthur, Vice President of CDS, and Alicia Bonner Ness, Program Manager at CDS. Today’s transformed and increasingly interconnected world reinforces collaborative approaches to addressing complex challenges and our online magazine elevates the ways in which individuals, corporations, and others are championing a better future for our world. The talk will be at 11:25am EST, but you don’t have to wait until then to learn more—check out the magazine here!

Our 4th Annual ICV conference will close with a keynote speech on “The Future of Responsible Global Leadership” from Dr. Ángel Cabrera, author of Being Global, How to Think, Act, and Lead in a Transformed World, at 11:40 EST. Dr. Cabrera is a recognized thought leader on business leadership and will share his incredible insight on the importance of being global in today’s interconnected world!

We hope you’re as excited as we are about the 4th Annual ICV Conference! The above highlights are just a few of the incredible talks and activities that will happen over the next two days. The learning journey starts tomorrow, so make sure to follow @CDCDevSolutions on Twitter and Like on Facebook in order to stay tuned!
