Action Team

Action Team is a program for high school students to volunteer in their communities. There are Action Teams of student volunteers in high schools across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.  When you or your school join the Action Team, you’ll stand with Major League baseball players and Volunteers of America as we recruit and train thousands of high school students to make an impact in the lives of their neighbors in need. Adam Ottavino, pitcher for the Colorado Rockies, recently joined the first Action Team conference call of the 2015-2016 school-year. He spoke about the importance of leadership and community to more than 30 Action Team Captains from high schools across the country. The Greenwood High School Action Team of Bowling Green, Kentucky joined Adam as the featured high school on the call.
