United Way of Southeastern Michigan Success to Be Measured by Community Impact
Like countless other organizations in the metro Detroit area and across the country, FCA and its employees are committing their time and contributions to their local United Way organizations. Hundreds of families gathered in Detroit last Thursday night for a meal symbolizing the impact that United Way of Southeastern Michigan (UWSEM) plans to make during the next two years.

FCA US Shifts Gears, Rolls Out New Bikes for 350 Detroit Students
FCA US, a company better known for helping to put the Motor City on wheels, shifted gears and rolled out shiny, new bicycles and stacks of books for 350 students in Detroit who have demonstrated improvement in one or more of the ABC's (Attendance, Behavior and Course Performance) through Communities in Schools of Metropolitan Detroit (CIS), an an academic enrichment program which provides education and community resources to help students successfully learn, stay in school and continue on the path to graduation.

Habitat for Humanity Detroit Partners with FCA US for House Build
Habitat for Humanity Detroit and FCA US LLC kicked off their 2016 collaborative build this morning in Lincoln Park. The early morning celebration began with a few brief remarks before FCA US employees raised the walls for a new home on Park Avenue. The home is the first of three new homes Habitat Detroit is building in Lincoln Park this year.

National Black Farmers Association Opens 2016 Scholarship Application Period
The National Black Farmers Association (NBFA) Scholarship Program today opened the application period for 2016 scholarships. The application site, https://scholarsapply.org/blackfarmersassociation, will remain open from March 1 to May 2, 2016, or until 100 applications have been received, whichever comes first.

Funded through a grant from the FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of FCA US LLC, the program provides scholarships of up to $5,000 to students pursuing agriculture-related study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.

Recycle, Reuse, Support
The FCA US Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois is teaming up with PepsiCo Recycling to launch a new program that will not only make recycling more convenient for its employees, but also help support disabled U.S. veterans.

FIRST Robotics Teams Gear Up for “First Stronghold” with $250,000 from FCA Foundation
The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of FCA US LLC, today announced $250,000 in grants to FIRST Robotics Competition (grades 9-12) and FIRST Tech Challenge (grades 7-12) teams in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. The grants, which will offset the costs associated with items such as registration fees, parts and team apparel, coincide with the official start (Jan. 9) of the 2016 FIRST Robotics design and build season. During this six-week phase, teams will build, program and test robots with the guidance of adult mentors. It’s estimated that more than 3,100 teams comprised of 78,000+ students from around the world will compete for glory in First Stronghold, this year’s design challenge. Qualifying teams advance to the 2016 FIRST Championship April 27-30 in St. Louis, Mo.

FCA US Releases Arsenal of Democracy Documentary
In recognition of the 75th anniversary of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s historic “Arsenal of Democracy” radio broadcast (December 29, 1940), FCA US LLC has released Automakers and the Arsenal of Democracy, a short documentary, which chronicles the role of the Chrysler Corporation as one of the primary military suppliers for the Allied war effort.

Habitat for Humanity Detroit and the FCA Foundation Dedicate New Home Just in Time for the Holidays
Approximately 260 FCA US Motor Citizen volunteers contributed nearly 2,000 hours of service over the past seven months to complete a new for Carol Richards.The build, which kicked off in April, was part of a collaborative partnership between Habitat for Humanity Detroit and the FCA Foundation to build a safe, affordable home for a working family in need.

26,000 DPS Elementary School Children Get a Hand in Fighting Winter Cold from Mittens for Detroit and FCA US
In an effort to help children stay safe and warm this winter, Mittens for Detroit (MFD), a charity that’s known for warming hearts, two hands at a time, and automaker FCA US LLC kicked off a “mitten drop” December 9 at Dossin Elementary-Middle School. The partnership will provide a new pair of mittens or gloves to more than 26,000 Detroit Public School elementary students.
