Creating Sustainable Master Plans for States, Cities, and Campuses: National Standard for Sustainability Master Plans (LEO-9000)

A national standard for sustainability master plans will take the vision of a sustainable future for an area and make it concrete. It will address land use planning, sustainability for the built environment, energy, transportation, waste and water management, recreation, and preservation. The standard will define sustainability goals and implementation steps, and quantify progress. Leonardo Academy is developing the national standard for Sustainability Master Plans (LEO-9000) under the rules of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
