Corinne Bailey Rae Strikes a Chord with Friends of Sands for Singapore
Grammy Award-winning British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae shared insights into her musical journey with a group of young people at a special dialogue session organized by Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore International Jazz Festival on Friday. The session was part of Marina Bay Sands’ ongoing ArtScience On Screen: In Conversation With series, which features prominent speakers from creative industries spanning film, music and art. The event is one of the many ways that Marina Bay Sands gives back to the local community through its corporate giving program Sands for Singapore, a part of Las Vegas Sands’ Sands Cares.

Sands China Academy Celebrates Internship Program Graduation
In May, Sands China Academy hosted a graduation ceremony for the 111 Macao university students who completed Sands China’s Integrated Resort Internship Program. Sands China celebrated the students’ achievements and three graduates were presented with an “Impressive Performance Award” with a limited-edition souvenir by their department heads as a token of recognition for their exceptional performance.

Sands China Care Ambassadors Invite Macau Down Syndrome Association for an Afternoon of Fun with DreamWorks
A group of 35 Sands China Care Ambassadors spent an afternoon with 40 children and their parents from the Macau Down Syndrome Association, taking them on an “Amazing Race” through several DreamWorks Experience-themed adventures at Sands Cotai Central and The Venetian Macao. The day ended with a visit to Ice World.

JEWEL Performs at First Annual INSPIRE Charity Event, Presented by Sands Cares
Four-time Grammy-nominated artist Jewel headlined INSPIRE, Presented by Sands Cares last Friday evening in Las Vegas. The event marked the launch of Las Vegas Sands’ corporate, Sands Cares Accelerator Program, a community partnership endeavor that entrenches deeper investment in growing nonprofit organizations that have the potential to more greatly impact the local community with the gift of additional resources, and nurturing from a major corporate partner.

Sands China Ltd. is partnering with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the world's leading conservation organization, in the launch of WWF's Earth Hour 'Just One' Hotels Program. Sands Bethlehem Celebrates Earth Day
To celebrate Earth Day this year, the sustainability department, along with other Team Members from Sands Bethlehem, volunteered their time at a local elementary school to host the second annual Earth Day Fair. The effort was in conjunction with Sands ECO360, Las Vegas Sands’ Global Sustainability strategy designed to help create a more sustainable future.

Four-Time Grammy-Nominated Artist JEWEL Headlines INSPIRE, Presented by Sands Cares
Symbolizing her own personal journey, Jewel’s upcoming performance at the Las Vegas Sands/Sands Cares INSPIRE event on May 19 is significant as much because of the artist’s transformative staying power over the past 20-plus years, as her message to the young people of the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation, the first participant in the Sands Cares Accelerator Program, who will benefit from the event’s proceeds.
