Founded in 2008, Helping Hungry Homes® is Smithfield Foods’ initiative focused on alleviating hunger and helping Americans become more food secure. Helping Hungry Homes® provides nutritious, high-quality protein to food banks, school nutrition programs, disaster relief efforts, and community outreach programs.

We know that we have plenty of work to do, and that’s why every level of our Smithfield family is involved in this initiative—from leadership to facility employees to farmers. We stand together as proud, active partners in the fight against hunger.

Helping Hungry Homes® is Smithfield’s signature hunger-relief initiative focused on alleviating hunger and helping Americans become more food secure. The donation, equivalent to more than 167,000 servings, will help families fight hunger in New Mexico.
