Subaru Launches Partnership with TerraCycle® for “Subaru Loves the Earth”
Subaru of America, Inc., today announced a new partnership with TerraCycle® to help divert hard-to-recycle waste from landfills and incinerators through the automaker’s environmentally-focused philanthropic platform, Subaru Loves the Earth. With less than a quarter of the 230 million tons of trash generated annually in U.S. getting recycled, Subaru and TerraCycle® are teaming up to intercept and repurpose hard to recycle items.

Inspiring Teen Puts a Spotlight on a Pervasive Trash Problem
Meet Hannah Testa, a 15 year-old environmental motivator from Georgia and founder of Hannah4Change. Testa has worked with the Georgia General Assembly for the past two years to recognize today, February 15, as Plastic Pollution Awareness Day in Georgia. The goal of the day is to educate Georgians about excessive plastic use and waste so they can make simple changes to reduce plastic pollution.

Subaru of America, Inc. announced today its continued sponsorship of the Philadelphia Flower Show for the 17th consecutive year. A “must experience” horticulture event, the annual flower show will run from March 3rd through March 11th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, with revenues supporting the charitable efforts of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS). This year’s theme, “Wonders of Water," will celebrate the beauty and life-sustaining interplay of horticulture and water.

Subaru of America, Inc. has announced the return of Subaru WinterFest, the automaker’s mountain destination and lifestyle tour that brings together winter warriors across the country for a one-of-a-kind experience. Featuring a blend of entertainment and adventure in amazing places, the 2018 tour will celebrate the winter season, while encouraging attendees to seize the snow day with an array of memorable activities.

Pilot Program at Grand Teton National Park Informs Future of Composting in Teton County
As part of the Zero-Landfill Initiative, Teton County is making great inroads with new composting waste removal efforts. The Zero-Landfill Initiative is a collaboration between Subaru of America, Inc., National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA), the National Park Service (NPS) and park concessioners to reduce the amount of visitor-generated waste that national parks send to the landfills. Collaborators spent the summer targeting the one material that is believed to comprise up to 40 percent of Teton County’s waste stream - food. Capturing and composting non-edible food waste is the next major step in the County’s efforts to significantly reduce waste going to landfills.

The Subaru Fall Festival at Greensgrow Farms Returns to Philadelphia
Subaru of America, Inc. and Greensgrow Farms, Philadelphia’s famous urban farm and community garden center, will welcome its neighbors and visitors to celebrate the fall season at the Subaru Fall Festival at Greensgrow Farms on October 7, 2017. The Subaru Fall Festival at Greensgrow Farms is Philadelphia’s premier harvest season event, expecting crowds of over 4,000 people from all over the region.

Denali Delight: Summerfest in the Park Was a Mountain of Fun
Subaru is sponsoring a Zero Landfill Initiative in the Denali Borough, and a group of local teen ambassadors were on hand to share information and recycled bags with signers of the pledge. They are spearheading the effort in local schools and sharing recycling information with the community.
