For the ninth consecutive year, Wells Fargo is United Way Worldwide’s No. 1 workplace giving campaign in the U.S. More than 65,000 team members demonstrated their strong commitment to community service by giving $85 million to 40,000 nonprofit organizations and volunteering a record 2 million hours — valued at $48 million — in communities nationwide during the company’s employee giving campaign in 2017.support disaster relief and recovery efforts, veterans, military service members and their families, community revitalization, and environmental sustainability.

He had previously enrolled in college, but financial struggles, a full-time job providing maintenance for an apartment complex, and ongoing kidney dialysis made it impossible for him to continue.Then, he saw an online ad for BankWork$®, and he enrolled in the fall of 2016. Today, he is a teller for Wells Fargo in Denver and pursuing a degree in finance. “BankWork$ has given me more assurance for my future,” Madrid said.

Wells Fargo Bank Branches Become Holiday Food Banks
Wells Fargo is doubling as a food bank this holiday season in a joint effort with United Way to fight hunger. From Nov. 28 to Dec. 30, approximately 5,900 Wells Fargo branches will serve as food donation centers, collecting nonperishable foods in specially marked bins as part of the Wells Fargo Holiday Food Bank.

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC), NeighborWorks® America and its network member, GROW South Dakota, today announced the NeighborhoodLIFT® program is coming to South Dakota with a $2 million commitment by Wells Fargo to boost homeownership for eligible homebuyers across the state’s 66 counties. This will be Wells Fargo’s 56th LIFT program and second-statewide effort in the U.S.
