Over the weekend, Carnival Corporation’s chairman, Micky Arison, challenged CEO Arnold Donald to participate in the #IceBucketChallenge, designed to raise much-needed awareness and funds for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This challenge from Arison and participation by Donald was inspired by Gerry Cahill and Carnival Cruise Lines’ leadership team and the move to enlist all 24 of its “Fun Ships,” to participate in the movement, quickly gaining traction across the world.  Carnival is also making a $100,000 donation to the ALS Assocation.  As a part of his video, Donald challenged CNBC's Simon Hobbs, CNN's Richard Quest, BBC's Katty Kay and CBS's Peter Greenberg to take part as well.
