Cone Communications Sponsors Sustainable Brands Conference For Sixth Year

BOSTON, May 17, 2017 /3BL Media/ - For the sixth year in a row, Cone Communications will join Sustainable Brands 2017 (SB’17) as a sponsor, helping to lead and facilitate the exciting corporate social responsibility (CSR) conversation taking place over the four-day conference in Detroit on May 22-25. Cone executives will also be speaking at three sessions while at the event.

Cone Executives Share Insights on Employee Engagement and More

Alison DaSilva, EVP of CSR Strategy, will lead two conversations at SB’17. On Tuesday, May 23 Alison is facilitating a conversation entitled, “Engaging Employees in Win-Win Partnerships that Boost Morale, Strengthen Brand Purpose and Create Shared Value.” The panel will explore how PayPal partnered with Kiva to give away 10,000 $25 Kiva gift cards to PayPal employees – and how the program has continued to evolved over time. Alison will be joined by Hatt Holton, Lead Manager, Social Innovation at PayPal, Lisa Hogen, Chief Development Officer at Kiva and Christopher Marshall, Head of Partnerships at Good Worldwide Inc.

On Wednesday, May 24 DaSilva will also moderate a working lunch hosted by Cone client UPS entitled, “Sustainable E-Commerce in an On-Demand Economy.” The session will explore how e-commerce is changing the world of logistics, discuss the expectations of today’s consumers and offer lessons learned to shape the future of sustainable e-commerce. The panel features experts such as Ed Rogers, Senior Director of Global Sustainability at UPS and Larisa Summers, SVP, E-Commerce & Digital Marketing at Optoro.

Whitney Dailey, Director of Marketing/Research & Insights will be joining research experts at a roundtable entitled “What the Good Life Means to Consumers, and How They Imagine Brands will Help Take Us There.” In this session, Dailey will share key insights from Cone’s newly released research report, the 2017 Cone Communications CSR Study. In addition, six of Cone’s clients will join the stage of SB’17 to share key insights into their leading corporate social responsibility campaigns and initiatives.

Cone Invites Attendees to Make an Impact in Local Detroit Community

To round out the conference, Cone will host businesses and thought leaders at the “SB Gather Party” on Wednesday evening at the conference. At the event, participants will have the opportunity to help finish a mural alongside Detroit artist Desiree Kelly, which will be later donated to a local elementary and middle school.
