Advances in Circular Economy Business Models

The circular economy has promoted new thinking in the functionality of products and how they can be distributed in a way that optimizes resource use and creates new value. In this session, panelists will offer specific examples of companies moving from product ownership to service, leasing, and shared economy models, and discuss the associated financial and environmental benefits. Panelists will also discuss advances in reverse logistics and the infrastructure for collection, treatment, and redeployment of assets. Finally, panelists share developments in engaging the public in the circular economy technology and infrastructure developments to increase recycling and re-use rates.
