June 7, 2016 /3BL Media/ - To contribute to Mexico’s social development, in 2015, Grupo Financiero Banorte implemented initiatives supporting mainly education, SMEs and the community.

To assist SMEs, the financial institution has a General Policy for Emerging and Economic Reactivation Programs, designed to help small and medium-sized companies in vulnerable sectors or regions of the country who might require special support.

In this way, support programs such as the "Economic boost for tourism-related companies in the state of Oaxaca", the "Support for Women Entrepreneurs" and the "Support Program for the textile, clothing and fashion industries and their supply chains", among others were implemented.

Fundación Banorte (the Banorte foundation), works to promote a comprehensive and quality education through three branches of action: community support, the Banorte family and philanthropy. Last year more than Ps 60 million, were mobilized directly benefiting more than 106,000 people.

Another way to contribute to the country’s development is through the Acciones Banorte (Banorte Actions) program that brings all the social initiatives developed in GFNorte together in order to support employees, their families, the community and the environment.

During 2015, the following joined this program: "Support Your Family," an initiative intended for employees’ families, "Developing Talent" that promotes employees’ personal and professional development and "Doing the Right Thing" which promotes healthy practices between the institution’s customers, personnel and suppliers.

With actions like these, Grupo Financiero Banorte maintains its commitment with stakeholders to make a positive impact with their operations, products and financial services to communities in which it operates.
