HEINEKEN USA and The Recycling Partnership Celebrate America Recycles Day on No…

At HEINEKEN USA, we celebrate recycling every day. So, as America celebrates recycling on November 15th, we are excited to highlight the work our partners at The Recycling Partnership are doing to better recycling each and every day.

We are proud to support The Recycling Partnership! The Recycling Partnership (TRP) is a 501(c)3 organization with the goal to improve recycling in the United States. HEINEKEN USA was the first brewer to join and like TRP, we believe recycling is fundamental to a healthy environment and economy.  In the past two years, TRP made tremendous strides working with 150 community partners, rolling out 390K recycling carts, educating 10MM households, investing $21MM into recycling AND recycling 35K new tons per year.

This summer HEINEKEN USA partnered with TRP at the International Champions Cup to challenge fans to up their recycling game. Supporters of AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid had the chance to represent their clubs by placing their recyclables in specially-marked bins. Sensors on each container tracked the total amount of items recycled and which team is in the lead. The fans had the opportunity to score points against their rival fans by recycling the most products on behalf of their team, and by sharing the experience via their personal social channels using. Want to get in on the action? Here’s how you can help!

1.Recycle where you live, work, and play! Remember recyclables are not just in your kitchen. Recycle your bottles, cans, and paper throughout your house. Avoid throwing recyclables away.

2.Check your local services for the proper disposal of things that don’t belong in mixed recycling process lines. Clothing, wires, plastic wrap, needles, and bulky metals can be dangerous for workers. Look for safe and value conserving options for home goods.

3.Spread the word! Share a photo of recycling at work or home with #WeRecycle
