I’m Going Over the Edge for Cancer Survivors

We all have fears in life. Some people are scared of spiders, I have a crippling fear of heights. In spite of my fear, I am making it known publicly today, that I’m facing my fear of heights in honor of those fighting cancer. On September 10th Team LIVESTRONG and I are rappelling down a 20 story building to raise money for LIVESTRONG’s free programs and services. We are literally going “over the edge” for cancer survivors.

My fear of heights has nothing on the fear people face when they find out they have cancer. At LIVESTRONG we work every day to help these individuals deal with all sorts of issues they are facing now – from insurance claim denials to fertility preservation before treatment to understanding their treatment options. The need for LIVESTRONG programs is so great and the services we offer so vital, that rappelling down a building is a challenge I am willing to take.

I’m calling on everyone to join us. We invite you to go over the edge in Atlanta on September 10th or to show your support by donating to our team online. However you decide to participate, know that Team LIVESTRONG and I will be looking down from the top of this building on September 10th with big smiles on our terrified faces.

Thank you and LIVESTRONG,

Greg Lee
