October 19, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Developed by AccountAbility in 2007, the CSAP qualification led the way for practitioners to develop, validate and communicate their competence in a systematic manner, allowing organisations to identify credible assurance providers and improve stakeholder confidence in the expertise of sustainability professionals engaged with their organisations.

As part of the AA1000 Series of Standards, principles-based Standards and Frameworks used by a broad spectrum of organisations to demonstrate leadership and performance in accountability, responsibility and sustainability, Corporate Citizenship and MAS Business will be running a 5 day specialised course, the first AA1000 Assurance Standard training available for a number of years in the UK. Designed for managers, academics, consultants and auditors, the course primes delegates to strengthen the credibility and quality of organisations’ sustainability reporting, effectively engaging with stakeholders and to use AA1000 as a valuable tool for managing their corporate responsibility and sustainability.

The course will be run by certified practitioner and trainer John Scade FCA, ACSAP, founder and Managing Director of MAS Business. “The proliferation of sustainability over the years has seen an explosion of courses come on to the scene, with various qualifications and certifications, it can be difficult to ascertain which to choose from. The AA1000 Assurance Standard training course has been run successfully for 10 years and our delegates have reaped the value of practically applying course learnings to confidently make the case for sustainability in their organisations” comments John.

Alongside learnings, delegates are given practical assignments and real life case studies and are assessed over the course of the 5 days to ensure understanding of the course content. Upon successful completion, delegates will be awarded an AccountAbility approved certificate which they may then use to apply for the Associate level of the Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (CSAP) programme.
