For Yet Another Year JetBlue Earns a Perfect '100' From the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Annual Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality

NEW YORK, NY, November 19, 2015 /3BL Media/ - JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) announced today that it has received a perfect score of 100 on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The honor from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation is based on surveys and reports on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.

"JetBlue is proud to once again earn a top rating in HRC's Corporate Equality Index," said Robin Hayes, JetBlue's President and CEO. "As an airline whose mission is to inspire humanity, we are proud to support and celebrate our LGBT crewmembers and to be recognized as one of America's best places to work. The incredible diversity among our 18,000 crewmembers is what gives JetBlue its strength and what drives the award-winning experience our customers know and love."

JetBlue's LGBT Crewmember Resource Group, JetPride, leads efforts aimed at fostering a community grounded in equality. JetBlue has also participated in and partnered with nonprofit groups in support of LGBT rights. This year, JetBlue crewmembers came out in record numbers to celebrate the NYC Pride March, with nearly 500 supporters representing the airline in one of the nation's largest annual pride events.

JetBlue also partners with The Center, the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community center in New York City, and in past years has supported numerous LGBT organizations such as Harbor to the Bay, Gay Officers Action League New England, and Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (TLDEF). In October 2015, JetBlue also led the KaBOOM! playground build at The Pride Center at Equality Park in Wilton Manors, Fla.

This year, the CEI rated 1,024 businesses in a report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. JetBlue's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria results in a 100 ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
