Karin Corfee and Jon Wellinghoff Join Center for Resource Solutions Board

Two energy-industry veterans join the CRS Board of Directors

SAN FRANCISCO, March 30, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) announced today that two energy industry veterans joined its Board of Directors—Karin Corfee, managing director at Navigant Consulting; and Jon Wellinghoff, a partner at Stoel Rives and the immediate past chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). CRS is a San Francisco–based nonprofit focused on policy and market solutions to advance sustainable energy, including the market-leading Green-e certification programs.

Jon Wellinghoff is a partner at Stoel Rives in San Francisco where he is co-chair of the energy team and represents clients in an array of emerging energy-technology fields. He is the immediate past chair of FERC, where he was its longest-serving chairman. He is an internationally recognized energy law attorney and clean tech energy expert. He served as general counsel at the Nevada Public Utilities Commission (1998–2000), and served two terms as the State of Nevada's first advocate for customers of public utilities. In 2013 he won the Green Power Leader of the Year award from Center for Resource Solutions.

Karin Corfee is a managing director at Navigant Consulting's energy practice. Her key areas of expertise include strategic planning, renewable energy, distributed generation, energy efficiency, program design, program implementation, and climate planning initiatives. She has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, including serving as the project manager for the Renewable Energy Technical Support contract for the California Energy Commission (CEC). She has also led multiple research efforts on behalf of the CEC relating to renewable energy markets, renewable technology assessments, and renewable energy policies.
