LA Galaxy to Host Shared Plate Celebration to Benefit L.A. Kitchen

AEG’s LA Galaxy to host Shared Plate celebration to benefit L.A. Kitchen at StubHub Center’s Pitch and Pale event on October 7, 2017.

LOS ANGELES, Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 /3BL Media/ - AEG’s LA Galaxy Foundation and LA Galaxy supporter groups Angel City Brigade and LA Riot Squad will host a Shared Plate Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7 prior to Fan Appreciation Night during LA Galaxy II’s match against Portland Timbers 2 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. Shared Plates, an L.A. Kitchen initiative, is a city-wide weekend of dinner parties from Oct. 6-8, 2017 to rally Angelenos in the fight against hunger, food waste, and unemployment.

LA Galaxy players will be on hand for the celebration with games, photo booth and music complementing the event. LA Galaxy Shared Plate Celebration will feature a dinner donated by Tender Greens with all proceeds from the event benefitting L.A. Kitchen. The event will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. PT in StubHub Center’s Pitch and Pale.

Gates to the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. PT ahead of LA Galaxy II’s match against Portland Timbers 2 at 7:30 p.m. PT. Parking is free; please note StubHub Center’s clear bag policy will be enforced at the Shared Plates Celebration and Galaxy II match.

L.A. Kitchen is a local nonprofit that believes that neither food nor people should ever go to waste. By reclaiming healthy, local food that would otherwise be discarded, training men and women who are unemployed for jobs, and providing healthy meals to fellow citizens, L.A. Kitchen empowers, nourishes and engages the community.
