For the 6th consecutive year, MGM Resorts International employees joined the fight against breast cancer by supporting the 2016 Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure, held in Downtown Las Vegas.

MGM Resorts was the official sponsor of Komen’s Kids for the Cure. Dozens of employee volunteers took over an entire street in Downtown Las Vegas and hosted games, a petting zoo and other activities for kids. With hundreds of employees participating in the event, MGM Resorts International was recognized for having one of the largest corporate teams.

"As the single largest employer in Nevada, MGM Resorts employs 55,000 people in Las Vegas, with an additional 7,000 others throughout the world. Our company is dedicated to strengthening our communities and that commitment shows on days like today," said Shelley Gitomer, Vice President of Philanthropy & Community Engagement. "I’m proud to be associated with a company that supports events like these to help bring awareness to important issues that affect so many in our community."

Thousands of kids and parents explored the Kids for the Cure area, where employees volunteers led children and more than a few adults through carnival-style games and activities for fun prizes.
