The Heat Map shown here indicates how well Community Investment projects per continent meet with brand objectives. Average global Score (Return On Objectives = ROO) for Community Investment activities is 38% (375pts out of 1,000).

MONTREAL, JUNE 25, 2013 /3BL Media/ – Great focus has been placed recently on marathons, triathlons and other endurance sports and how participation rates have increased greatly. In this month’s SPONSORIUM Report these events and their sponsorship rights fees are examined, which indicates they are reaching levels not previously seen. Over a three year term sponsorship spending on triathlons specifically, is up over $100,000 per event.

The Report also measures corporate donations and grants, and is published monthly by SPONSORIUM International, the world’s leading Sponsorship and Community Investment management software provider. From the Community Investment industry the June edition of the report explored Score of Activity compared to corporate/brand objectives. Projects initiated from South America scored, on average, better than from any other continent. The global average for all such activities is roughly 38%.

The SPONSORIUM Report publishes data and insights globally, as well as regionally for many countries including the United States, Europe, and Canada, to improve benchmarking ability in the Sponsorship and Community Investment industries.

In an effort to better serve sponsors, their agency partners and the groups they support, the Report’s recent move to a monthly format allows for more timely analysis and regular content for those benchmarking purposes.

Also highlighted in today’s Report for June is a ranking of the top countries by how well CSR activities from their market meet with corporate objectives for giving/grantmaking. The three largest sectors within the over 11,000 activities are Community (projects dealing with Environment, Disaster Relief, etc), Education/Youth, and Health.

The data used in the SPONSORIUM Report published throughout 2013 comes from 145 countries and consists of nearly 50,000 opportunities and partnerships all taking place during 2012. The data is collected from the PerforMind™ platform, which over 250 brands around the world rely on to track and evaluate their own sponsorship, CSR and community investment activities.

The results presented are global, however SPONSORIUM has the ability to drill down to any market and industry (ie. Financial) upon request.

"The intent of the SPONSORIUM Report is to share market intelligence. We have the unique ability of having helped hundreds of brands score their activities against their own weighted criteria, so they can immediately relate to this as real data – it’s theirs as well as many other companies all trying to achieve more in Sponsorship and CSR.” said Paul Pednault, Founder and President of SPONSORIUM.

“This month, the real insights from a very popular and growing sector of endurance sports, will be eye-opening for many brands. There are sizable shifts taking place in Running, Biking, and Combo sports that companies need to pay attention to. Most glaring is that this information really is the actual statistical performance of these industries,” said Seth Leeds, Head of Strategic Development, Americas and Editor, SPONSORIUM Report.
