Nurturing the Next Generation of Aviators Via ACE Programs

In 2016, the JetBlue Foundation partnered with the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals to sponsor a series of Aviation Career Education (ACE) Academy initiatives. The ACE Academies program gives middle school and high school youth exposure to STEM, aerospace, and aviation opportunities through intensive, hands-on summer camps.

As part of the ACE Camps programming, the JetBlue Foundation supported student tours by offering a "JetBlue Day" in various cities throughout the summer to ignite an interest in STEM and aviation. The JetBlue Day involved tours of each airport system operations and facilities, an air traffic control tower tour, and speakers from areas such as dispatch, tech ops, engineering, quality control, and business for career learning and development. The ACE Camp BlueCities tour included San Juan, Boston, Jacksonville, St. Thomas USVI, Long Beach, Orlando, New York, and Los Angeles.
