If there's one universal truth about kids, it may be this: They want to grow up as quickly as possible. And for over 100 years, Johnson & Johnson has been working to help them grow up as healthy as possible, too.

One important way the company is achieving this goal is by empowering those on the front lines of delivering care to newborns, children and mothers around the world, from nurses to midwives. The roots of this commitment date to the 1890s, when Johnson & Johnson created maternity kits filled with such basic-yet-critical supplies as sterile sutures and antiseptic soap for doctors and midwives to use, helping make childbirth safer.

Today, the company continues to advance this commitment around the world through partnerships with organizations like UNICEF. For nearly 30 years, Johnson & Johnson and UNICEF have worked together to empower healthcare providers in 20 countries by supporting clinical training and programs that encourage people to pursue careers in healthcare, as well as providing innovative digital tools, such as technology that delivers health information directly to healthcare workers' mobile phones.

"We are incredibly proud of the work we've done with UNICEF helping to ensure that children everywhere have a healthy future. This renewed commitment will strengthen our efforts to support and advocate for women and children, as well as the frontline health workers who care for them."

"We are incredibly proud of the work we've done with UNICEF helping to ensure that children everywhere have a healthy future," says Lauren Moore, Vice President, Global Community Impact, Johnson & Johnson. "This renewed commitment will strengthen our efforts to support and advocate for women and children, as well as the frontline health workers who care for them."
