CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. August 2, 2017 /3BL Media/ — Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship is pleased to open registration for its Management Intensive, a deep-dive into corporate citizenship best practices with a strong focus on managerial responsibility. Held October 23 – 27, 2017 on the Boston College campus, the Management Intensive provides participants the strategic, organizational, evaluation, and communication tools necessary to advance corporate citizenship work.   “The Management Intensive challenges participants to act upon sound management principles that align corporate citizenship efforts with business strategy,” said Katherine V. Smith, executive director of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. "One of the great benefits of the program is that it offers hands-on learning experiences with peers and tangible takeaways."   Taught by faculty from the Carroll School of Management and other experts in the field, the five-day intensive is designed to teach principles of change management, stakeholder salience, materiality assessment, and the scope of management responsibility associated with corporate citizenship. Beyond this, participants will learn how to create meaningful corporate citizenship performance goals, how to assess and evaluate sustainability reporting standards and frameworks, and how to develop effective corporate citizenship messaging.   "I feel like I am returning to work with a very good idea of how to implement change in my department," said one Management Intensive graduate. Another alum expressed appreciation for having developed "five pages of prototype ideas to test in [the] work and community environment." Designed for professionals who are already leading or substantially contributing to the development or advancement of corporate citizenship, the Management Intensive offers participants best-in-class strategies to enhance their work. The program also support participants' adoption of practices that will drive the development of future ideas and collaborations.    "The concept of Idea Hunting and the focus on measurement of corporate citizenship were incredibly valuable for me," credited one alumnus. "These insights will guide my deliberations, which are currently underway in terms of restructuring and streamlining [my company's] portfolio." The Management Intensive is designed for professionals with a minimum of three years of direct corporate citizenship experience. Upon completion of the program, participants earn a Certificate of Corporate Citizenship Management from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship under the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, 25 Certificate Units towards an additional certificate, as well as 2.9 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs). Graduates will also learn tools that will propel their ability to substantially contribute to the development and advancement of corporate citizenship in their workplaces.   Registration is now open for classes that begin in October 2017.
