Relief Efforts for Hurricane Florence: How You Can Help

Sep 24, 2018 12:40 PM ET
Hurricane Florence made landfall over North Carolina and South Carolina in the early morning hours of September 14th and the storm has continued to make a devastating impact in the area. The National Weather Service described Florence as the “Storm of a Lifetime,” and millions of people in the Carolinas and Virginia evacuated and the extent of the damage is still being measured.
We are all thinking about those who have been impacted by this powerful natural disaster and thank the brave men and women working tirelessly to provide aid to those in need.     Everyone at PayPal offers our emotional support to the victims of the hurricane, and together with PayPal Giving Fund we have launched a disaster relief campaign. PayPal is covering all processing costs, ensuring that 100% of your donation will support relief and recovery efforts. Through the PayPal Gives program, PayPal will also match donations made by a PayPal employee, according to terms of the program.   With any natural disaster of this magnitude, the need for aid will be vast and recovery will be long. In partnership with agencies that are providing relief on the ground, we know we can help to make a difference in supporting those affected during this difficult time.   Your generosity made a profound difference when Irma, Harvey and Maria damaged parts of the United States and Caribbean, earthquakes devastated Mexico and in the wake of many other terrible natural catastrophes. We’re hoping you will, once again, join us in helping the people and communities impacted by this latest natural disaster.    We’re extremely grateful to anyone who is able to help.
