Merck has published its seventh Corporate Responsibility Report, covering the years 2013 and 2014. It is available online at www.merckgroup.com/cr-report2014.

At Merck, responsible conduct is embedded in its fundamental principles of corporate governance and is an integral element of the company’s corporate strategy. In this vein, Merck meets global challenges in a variety of ways, such as by improving access to health especially in low- and middle-income countries, by developing sustainable products, by combating the neglected tropical disease schistosomiasis in Africa, by engaging in climate protection activities, and by promoting workforce diversity.

Merck has prepared its Corporate Responsibility Report for 2014 for the first time in accordance with the comprehensive option of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 guidelines. The report also documents the company’s progress in implementing the principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
