Since 2006, Responsible Sourcing Network, a project of As You Sow, founder and director, Patricia Jurewicz, addresses labor and human rights abuses. Currently Jurewicz is involved with the PPA for Responsible Mineral Trade, the Cotton Coalition, ICCR’s Human Trafficking Group, and the Conflict Free Smelter Program. With 20 years of diverse experiences related to supply chain manufacturing and corporate responsibility, she will be speaking at the Global Conflict Minerals Symposium.

With Conflict Minerals awareness at an all time high as we approach the one-year anniversary of the Final Ruling, companies have done their research and are now beginning to implement their compliance programs.  Now we are seeing a movement towards the future of supply chain in our ever connected, global economy and global brands want to know what is next.

The Global Conflict Minerals Symposium, taking place August 21-22 in Los Angeles, California will provide senior corporate and compliance executives, regulatory officials from across the globe, leading academia and NGO officers with a forum to share their practical experience, insights, and vision for achieving conflict free sourcing practices globally with the implementation of effective regulations.
