Smart Cities Mission Supports Indian Program

In early February 2016, 18 US companies led by US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Bruce Andrews visited the Indian cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai as part of the executive-led Smart Cities Infrastructure Business Development Mission. Companies involved aimed to launch or increase their business in India and support the smart cities agenda by driving and enhancing the sustainable growth of India’s infrastructure, thus providing a better quality of life for the country’s citizens.

Leading water technology company Xylem joined the mission, with the goal of bringing its global water expertise to aid in solving complex water challenges facing communities in India.
