Symantec Giving Back on #GivingTuesday

Today is #GivingTuesday, a global day committed to celebrating generosity. Started in 2012 by 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, #GivingTuesday was founded with a simple ask – give back. Thanksgiving Day is an American tradition founded on the expression of gratitude, followed by two big days focused on shopping, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday reignites the philanthropic spirit of the holidays and encourages individuals and groups to give back through volunteering, donations, or engaging in other creative ways to make a difference.

Community investment is central to Symantec’s corporate responsibility strategy, and on this #GivingTuesday, we want to highlight our partnership with the Global Fund for Women. Global Fund for Women is an organization that supports and advocates for women’s rights, and seeks to empower women around the globe.
