Unadoptable is Unacceptable

At the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, we believe that “unadoptable” is unacceptable. Each year 23,000 children age out of the foster care system in the United States without being adopted into a forever family. To us, that is unacceptable.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is committed to dramatically increasing the number of children adopted from foster care in the U.S. and Canada. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has more than 210 recruiters who use our signature child-focused model. These special people are called Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters. They take on smaller caseloads and always keep the child’s needs at the forefront as they look for a family that will best suit the child.  When implemented, our model is up to 300% more effective than traditional methods in finding permanent adoptive homes for waiting children.

Our work is far from over. We can’t do it without the help of so many generous people who open their hearts and homes and who share their financial resources. Learn more at davethomasfoundation.org.
