Watch and vote for video showing Novo Nordisk’s approach to diabetes care in low-income markets

Novo Nordisk is participating in this year’s Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship Film Festival with its video ‘Comfort and the empty shop’ that shows the challenges of living with type 2 diabetes in Accra, Ghana and the difference that the company's Base of the Pyramid programme is making for patients.

Through Diabetes Support Centres, Novo Nordisk helps to improve diabetes care and lessen the financial burden of diabetes treatment for low-income groups. The centres provide insulin and glucose testing equipment at a reduced cost, access to trained healthcare professionals and free diabetes screening for the general public.

A public voting is taking place until March 16, 2015 where everybody can go and vote to narrow the field of 55 films down to ten finalists. The ten finalists will be reviewed by a panel of judges to choose the winner, who will be announced on April 19 during the 2015 International Corporate Citizenship Conference in Austin, Texas.
