#YOPORMIPLANETA Movement Invites Us All to Think About Sustainability

On August 18 in Villahermosa, Tabasco, the TEDxAvDeLosRíos event was held with the slogan "Despegar Tus Ideas". Speakers participated with new views on gastronomy, technology, innovation, health, tourism and the environment.

One of the speakers was Francisco Suárez, Director of New Business Projects of Coca-Cola FEMSA and Chairman of the Board of WEC (World Environment Center). Francisco spoke about sustainability and the care of the environment in his presentation "Chain of personal Commitment to the Planet" and quoting Ban Ki Moon (former Secretary of the United Nations), "There is no Plan B, because we do not have a Planet B".

He spoke of the importance of sustainability at all levels: individual, governmental, organizational and private companies. The conversation featured examples on how private companies have been involved in the cause, with the support of WEC and governments, in different countries.

Because the work of all as individuals is equally important, Francisco exemplified his presentation with a letter he dedicated to his children, where he commits to leave a better planet.

Finally, he invited all attendees to make their own chain of personal commitments and think about how they can generate a positive change with their daily actions. People are now invited to participate in the initiative by sharing their ideas and actions through social media.
