In June 2012, AEP completed its 693 Reliability Audit, one of its largest NERC audits of the year. AEP employees spent close to a year preparing for this audit. More than 100 audit Subject Matter Experts were trained using the same techniques used to prepare for state regulatory commission hearings. Within the next few months, AEP will undergo three more audits, including the ETT Critical Infrastructure Protection audit, Texas Reliability Entity audit and BlueStar audit, now known as AEP Energy.
