Hello, I’m Gretchen Siegchrist, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Monday, April 19th:

Corporate Responsibility magazine has published its first-ever list of the worst companies in its April-May issue. “The worst” is defined as those businesses that are least transparent in their policies and practices. To compile the list, the magazine scored companies from the Russell 1000 index of large-capitalization stocks on 349 data points. “The Worst” list includes Abercrombie & Fitch, Lorillard, and Weight Watchers. The 30 worst companies had a collective net negative return of seven percent.

McDonald’s is sponsoring the “Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour” starring Regina Belle as part of its ongoing programs for African-American communities featured at 365 Black. Money raised by the concert series supports Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides housing for sick children undergoing medical treatment in hospitals.
