(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) January 9, 2012 - Campbell Canada President Phil Donne was the recipient of the 2011 Golden Pencil Award, the Canadian grocery industry's highest honor, for his commitment to pioneering health and wellness and corporate social responsibility initiatives at Campbell and in the community.  Phil was the leading motivation behind Nourish, a complete meal with a full serving of three food groups created to help address the growing issue of hunger in Canada and abroad.

In recognizing him at its 2011 Awards Ceremony in Toronto on November 28, the Food Industry Association of Canada also commended Phil for his many volunteer roles. He has been chairman of Food and Consumer Products of Canada, an industry trade group, as well as the Association of Canadian Advertisers and Kids Help Phone, a confidential telephone and online professional counseling service for youths.

Phil also has served on the boards of the Mayor of Toronto's Economic Advisory Task Force, the Grocery Foundation, the Daily Bread Food Bank and the Canadian Obesity Network.

“Receiving the Golden Pencil Award was a special opportunity for me to thank the people who continue to support and inspire me every day," Phil said.
