(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) NEW YORK, NY – August 12, 2010 - MS&L New York, a part of MS&LGroup – one of the world’s leading communications firms – is offering a grant of up to $100,000 in pro bono professional services to a local non-profit in need of communications expertise. Through a newly developed cause initiative called MS&L Be:CAUSE, MS&L New York is seeking proposals from local non-profits whose future success will make our community a better place to live, grow and succeed.

The second annual Be:CAUSE Community Connected Grant is part of MS&L’s Be:CAUSE platform, which represents the agency’s dedication to corporate citizenship. To emphasize MS&L’s growing focus on social media expertise, a strong portion of the Be:CAUSE grant will focus on digital communications and social media support.
“MS&L has always been passionate about bettering our community and we are committed to lending our strengths to those in need,” said Renee Wilson, managing director of MS&L New York. “Powerful and strategic communications are vital for the success of any business, so it is especially rewarding to bring these skills to the organizations that are making New York a place we are proud to live and to work.”
In 2009, the MS&L Be:CAUSE Community Connected Grant was given to MOUSE, a New York-based innovative youth development organization that empowers underserved students to provide technology support and leadership in their schools, supporting their academic and career success.
Non-profit organizations located in the New York metro area that are interested in applying for the 2010 grant and have a specific social media need they would like to address should visit to download an application. For a full list of criteria, please visit the Be:CAUSE Facebook page or send the team a message on Twitter. The application deadline is August 24, 2010.
