Chevrolet Bolt EV is 2017 North American Car of the Year
Chevrolet Bolt EV is the 2017 North American Car of the Year. The Bolt EV’s recognition marks the fourth time in four years that Chevrolet has received the North American Car of the Year or Truck of the Year award, following the Corvette Stingray and Silverado’s wins in 2014 and the Colorado’s award in 2015.

GM’s Year in Review: 16 Sustainability Stories from 2016
It’s been a transformative year. In January, General Motors launched its Maven carsharing service, now active in 17 cities around the United States. In the fall, the company committed to power its global operations’ electricity with renewable energy by 2050. And in December, the long-range Chevrolet Bolt EV hit the streets. Along the way, a variety of collaborations have helped to reduce waste, address climate change and inspire STEM learning.

Chevy Bolt EV Plant Ranks 8th Among Green Power Users
The General Motors Orion Assembly plant that builds the Chevrolet Bolt EV ranks as the eighth largest user of green power generated onsite in the United States among the Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Power Partnership Partners. Over half of the plant is powered by methane captured from decomposing trash in a nearby landfill.
