Republic Services, joined by Coca-Cola, Starbucks and many other community organizations, recently partnered with Clean Sweep for the annual Seattle community cleanup event in Capitol Hill in partnership with the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce and Pridefest. Volunteers rallied together at Cal Anderson Park and dedicate hours to picking up trash, recyclables and sharps in the Cap Hill neighborhood. Not only does the cleanup benefit the community in general, it also helps prep the streets for Pride month and the upcoming parade.
Grammy Award-winning British singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae shared insights into her musical journey with a group of young people at a special dialogue session organized by Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore International Jazz Festival on Friday. The session was part of Marina Bay Sands’ ongoing ArtScience On Screen: In Conversation With series, which features prominent speakers from creative industries spanning film, music and art. The event is one of the many ways that Marina Bay Sands gives back to the local community through its corporate giving program Sands for Singapore, a part of Las Vegas Sands’ Sands Cares.
In May, Sands China Academy hosted a graduation ceremony for the 111 Macao university students who completed Sands China’s Integrated Resort Internship Program. Sands China celebrated the students’ achievements and three graduates were presented with an “Impressive Performance Award” with a limited-edition souvenir by their department heads as a token of recognition for their exceptional performance.
A group of 35 Sands China Care Ambassadors spent an afternoon with 40 children and their parents from the Macau Down Syndrome Association, taking them on an “Amazing Race” through several DreamWorks Experience-themed adventures at Sands Cotai Central and The Venetian Macao. The day ended with a visit to Ice World.

To celebrate World Environment Day 2017, Empire BlueCross BlueShield is proud to announce it is rolling out six new eco-friendly vans that will assist Medicaid members by providing support services such as finding in-network providers, booking doctor’s appointments and enrollment.
