Promoting a Supply Chain that Reflects our Values

We work with nearly 6,000 suppliers throughout the world who provide us with the equipment and supplies we need to operate our global business. We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical, legal and socially responsible manner and, to that end, require our suppliers to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct (SCoC). 16 This SCoC outlines our expectations across a broad range of topics, from ethics to protecting the environment and is available in 19 languages.

With less than one third of businesses in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region owned or co-owned by women, urgent action needs to be taken to address gender inequalities in the labour market. To continue development, countries must legally allow women to work in all sectors and own businesses, support women’s employment and entrepreneurship, and combat gender stereotypes, according to UNDP’s most recent Regional Human Development Report.

In a joint pro bono effort, Weatherford, Texas Appleseed and Baker & McKenzie partnered to create a guide to help homeless youth better understand their legal rights, responsibilities and resources.
